An Initiative by Saju and Gigi

Joabyjo, an initiative by Saju and Gigi, is dedicated to curating and operating premium travel experiences across the globe for travelers from all walks of life. Driven by their love for travel and a passion for sharing memorable journeys, they craft personalized itineraries tailored to each traveler’s vision. Every journey reflects their commitment to understanding what truly makes a vacation special for each guest.

Saju and Gigi began their journey in 1998 while pursuing their Masters in Tourism Administration from Pondicherry Central University. They loved the fun of spontaneous travelling. Likewise, their careers took them to working for Kuoni (SOTC) one of the pioneers in group travel in the world. Having shared a great bonding, they started a family together. As time went by Saju continued working in the Outbound travel space while Gigi aligned her career with some of the major brands in the hospitality industry like Le Meridien and Intercontinental.

Today, they bring their combined expertise and love for exploration to Joabyjo, creating unique, memorable travel experiences for adventurers worldwide.

Saju Mathews

Director and Chief Curator

With over 25 years in the leisure travel industry and experience with brands like Kuoni and American Express, Saju Mathews has transformed his deep passion for travel into a global adventure, exploring over 40 countries time and again. As an experienced Tour Director, he has led a range of groups—from family leisure trips to corporate incentive and award functions, and architect tours—to destinations across Europe, Africa, the USA, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Southeast Asia, gaining firsthand knowledge of each region’s unique details and dynamics. His experience in establishing rental businesses in the UK, Ireland, and Canada further enriches his expertise.

Saju’s penchant for meticulous tour planning has earned him a growing network of travelers who seek his guidance for memorable vacations. He advocates immersive, experiential travel that fully engages the senses. A true travel enthusiast, he finds joy in long drives to hidden gems and fondly recalls skydiving in South Africa and navigating the 7-meter Tutea Falls on the Kaituna River in Rotorua, New Zealand as some of his favorite adventures. Saju’s mission is to inspire others to explore and embrace the beauty of our world.

Gigi Jolly George

Director – Branding & Marketing

With extensive experience in travel, hospitality, wellness, and fitness industries in strategic roles, Gigi Jolly George leads brand communication and customer engagement at Joabyjo. Her background with top brands like Kuoni, Le Meridien, Intercontinental, Dhathri Wellness, and Talwalkars has provided her with valuable insights into diverse business models.

Gigi’s strong interest in evolving consumer preferences enables Joabyjo to curate destinations and experiences that create lasting memories for travelers. She believes a true vacation is about connecting with people, immersing in local culture through cuisine and art, and staying in hotels that embody the authentic spirit of the destination.
